Tatia Sh graduated from Central College of Art and Design at St Martin’s in London. She has long worked as an assistant of the experimental filmmaker Stephen Dvoskin. Since 2005 she lives in Paris. Cinema lab L'Abominable was founded by a group of directors of an experimental cinema in Paris in 1996, with the aim to take over the "means of production" of cinema. Over the last twenty years, thanks to Nicolas Ray and his colleagues, the lab has grown into a real underground filmmaking center. Nicolas Ray will be one of the participants of the first Russian conference of media archaeology. The conference will be held September 27 at the New stage of the Alexandrinsky theater as part of the International Festival "Message to Man". Researchers of visual culture, film directors and artists will speak about the history of cinema as the history of technologies of visual culture and how it changes the person and his vision. At the end of the conference will be a special screening of the film Nicholas Ray "Soviet Power plus Electrification".

XXV International Film Festival "Message to Man" will be held in St. Petersburg from 26 September to 3 October 2015. During the festival week there will be screenings of documentary and fiction, experimental and popular films.
