Free movie screenings in cinemas on 27th of August, on the Day of Russian cinema

The organizing Committee of the international film festival "Message to Man" decided to go beyond the boundaries of the annual festival week and give people the opportunity to get acquainted with the most interesting and relevant from what happened in the Russian documentary cinema in recent years. Screenings will take place in the cinemas of the two capitals, and also in Krasnoyarsk, Togliatti, Volgograd, Cherepovets, Syktyvkar.


The program of action "World Documentary Film" Message to Man" includes films won numerous international awards, representatives of the author's documentary of Victor Kosakovskyi, Alexander Sokurov, Sergei Dvortsevoi, Marina Razbezhkina, Alena Polunina and other directors.


The action "World Documentary Film" is a cultural event designed to promote Russian documentary film and bring together the best of the authors with ordinary people — their characters and potential audience. The organizers expect that over time this action will expand and will become a traditional event in the calendar of Russian cultural life.


The XXV International Film Festival "Message to Man", which will be one of the most excitingcultural events of this fall, will host in St. Petersburg  from 26 September to 3 October 2015. This year the Festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Festival film week will bring together films from different parts of the world: documentary and fiction, experimental and viewers a movie that would please both cinephiles and the general public. One of the oldest Russian Film Festivals is known for brings to Russia prominent directors, presents viewers a unique film work recently shown at the largest festivals in the world. However, the most important mission of the Festival is the opening of new names among young filmmakers, an opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to show his pictures at the cinema event of the world level.
